I am a trilingual native Spanish, English, and Catalan translator certified by New York University and an associate member of the American Translators Association (ATA) with over five years experience as a linguist. Prior to my translation career, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and taught English as a second language, providing me with a thorough knowledge of the English language.

I was raised bilingual and spent my childhood equally between Spain and England which endowed me with a strong understanding of both cultures and linguistic approaches to translation. I have, in addition, lived and travelled to Saudi Arabia, Africa, South America, India, France, Turkey, among other countries. I am currently based in Portland, Oregon. I believe that traveling and literature are two ways to achieve interculturality and I consider translation to be an intercultural activity. Translation is to me a mediating activity between languages and cultures worldwide. I have, both personally and professionally, acquired the experience and beliefs to become a well informed, detail-oriented, and precise translator. I have the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills to accurately translate documents in my fields of specialization.

With each freelance project I undertake, I guarantee high quality work delivered on or before the deadline, attention to detail, and prompt response to your phone calls and e-mails. My home office equipment includes a desktop and laptop computer with daily backups, CAT tools, and high speed Internet access.
